Liza Lan
Post ORAS - 19 y/o
Team
After starting her leave of absence as one of the Gym Leaders of Mossdeep City, Liza handed over all of the Pokémon she was given by the League (with the exception of Lunatone and Xatu, Pokémon she caught herself), instead opting to form her own team from Pokémon she meets on her journey.

Personality
Liza is known as the extrovert of the Mossdeep Twins, often being quite rash and immature at times. Despite this, Liza cares deeply about both her friends and her Pokémon. Being a psychic, she is extremely intelligent and good at reading the emotions of others, but often struggles controlling her own. She has high admiration for her superiors, treating her fellow Gym Leaders and Elite Four members as if they were her older siblings.
She is easily flustered by those who she looks up to, and often formed childish crushes on her peers when she was younger. She quickly grows attached to any trainer she sees has a close bond with their Pokémon, often to the point of annoyance to many.
Liza has a deep fear of being treated as a lesser Gym Leader due to starting at such a young age, and gets quickly frustrated if she believes she isn't being taken seriously. While she loves and cares about her fellow League members, she holds an immature grudge against them for infantilizing her when she was younger.
Thanks to her psychic powers, Liza has telepathic abilities, allowing her to communicate with people and Pokémon through her mind alone. Alongside this, she also has mild empathic and telekinetic abilities, though using these powers for too long will cause her to feel ill.
History
When Tate and Liza's psychic abilities were discovered at a young age, they were quickly taken in by the Mossdeep Observatory for extensive study. Liza saw very little of their parents growing up, her father being an astronaut and her mother being an executive at the observatory. This led her to become extremely emotionally dependent on her much more reserved and emotionally mature brother, to the point where if the two were separated for two long she would begin to break down and openly weep until they were reunited.
The two's extreme battle prowess was apparent at a very early age, so much so that the Hoenn Pokémon League took notice and appointed them as the Gym Leaders of Mossdeep City, the first double battle leaders in the world. This caused Tate and Liza to become close with their fellow league members, who provided the paternal relationships that they had craved for so long. As a gym leader, Liza was forced to become more sociable. Being the more extroverted of the two siblings, Liza became the more prominent face of their gym.
As they grew older, Liza grew to desire to be more and more independent, frequently growing frustrated with her twin, believing he was holding her back. This boiled over when she threw a flurry of insults at him during an argument and storming out, suspending her title as a Gym Leader and starting her impromptu Pokémon journey. The two have not spoken since.
